Michael was a hit at Hillsdale College Sept. 22; he visited with groups of art and journalism students and capped it all with a hilarious public performance.

Michael at Hillsdale College Sept. 21-22, 2016
You have to love Hillsdale College. It is a beacon of liberty in an ocean of progressive academic subjugation. I know you are all familiar with Imprimis. If you are not, then you should immediately subscribe to it. Along with the CRB (the Claremont Review of Books). They are invaluable resources.
It was a terrific three day visit, meeting with advanced journalism classes, art students and faculty members. The students were impressive. My host was John Miller, Professor and Director of the Herbert H. Dow II Program in American Journalism at Hillsdale. You know John from his terrific work in the National Review.
I also hung out with Economics professors, Gary Wolfram and Roger Butters. Along with John, Gary, and Roger, President Larry Arnn and a great faculty team are the reason Hillsdale is producing the future leaders of America.
This 400 acre independent college with a student body of around 1400 students packs a punch. It is one of the top elite liberal arts colleges in America. As noted on its website:
"Hillsdale’s educational mission rests upon two principles: academic excellence and institutional independence. The College does not accept federal or state taxpayer subsidies for any of its operations"
I ended the visit with a speech on editorial cartooning, the failure of the Obama administration, and a defense of liberty. I think we will have some clips posted on my website soon: www.michaelpramirez.com
I thank the students and my hosts at Hillsdale for the warm reception, wonderful hospitality.... and access to the breakfast and lunch buffet.
Here are some photos of Hillsdale.
The beautiful Central Hall building, the only statue in North America of former British PM Margaret Thatcher, President Ronald Wilson Reagan and hanging out with my speaker's agent, and the brains behind my website, Melissa Praemonitus and Team Ricochet on a spontaneous Meet Up.
Enjoy,

Packing an auditorium at Hillsdale College last night, students, professors and fans from the tri-state area were treated to an evening of laughter with two-time Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist Michael P. Ramirez.
Ramirez's public presentation rounded out a 3-day visit to campus where he taught his techniques of editorial cartooning to art students and guest lectured journalism classes.
Sponsored by Hillsdale College, Ramirez's visit was orchestrated by John Miller, Director of the Herbert H. Dow II Program in American Journalism, in coordination with the Art Department.
