John Ondrasik’s powerful protest song, BLOOD ON MY HANDS is not only a wonderful piece of music, it contains a deeply profound message. It is a powerful indictment of the strategic failure of Biden administration policy in Afghanistan… a policy which not only abandoned Americans and our allies, yes, U.S. citizens, but also abandoned our very principles. Protest songs in the sixties were championed by progressives, popular culture and the mainstream media. These same entities are now virtually ignoring this serious, thoughtful, passionate and amazing work of art.
Having spent time on the ground all over Afghanistan, in my travels with the USO, it was difficult to watch this heartbreaking conclusion to the decades of service and sacrifice by our troops and their allies. As my friend John says, “This is NOT a political song. It is a moral song. It is a humanitarian song." And it is a song that EVERYONE should hear. Please share it with all of your friends. -m |
